About SandlotPro
A coaching companion built by a volunteer dad, for volunteer moms and dads.
Hi, I'm Aaron.
I didn't play baseball at a high level. I loved it anyway. I grew up watching the Braves on TBS in my living room, played organized baseball until I was 12, and then moved on to other things. The love for the game never left, and it got a whole lot stronger once I had two boys who love to play.
I don't know if they'll play past 12, or make a high school roster, or be fortunate enough to play beyond that. No parent knows. What I do know is that for as long as they play, I want to be involved.
Youth sports only exist because countless volunteers say yes.
I know firsthand how much time it takes to be a coach or an assistant coach. I also know the feeling of inadequacy that creeps in when you're coaching alongside people who played at a high level. That feeling keeps a lot of good moms and dads on the sidelines, and the kids are the ones who lose out.
That's why this website exists. Everything here, from the practice planner to the season roadmaps to the word-for-word parent emails, is built so an ordinary parent can show up organized, keep kids moving, and make the game fun. That's the whole job, and you don't need a playing resume to do it well.
My goal is simple: help normal moms and dads feel comfortable enough to say yes, and see what happens from there.
